Diagnosed: 1998
“I was diagnosed with breast cancer in November, 1998 after two biopsies. I had my lymph nodes removed and then had 6 treatments of chemo and 32 radiation treatments. My husband, Al, took me to each Chemo treatment and stayed with me. I had to convince him not to take me to the radiation treatments.
My daughters, Tina and Theresa, and granddaughter, Lisa, were always checking up on me. Lisa would make sure I stayed down and if I tried to get up too much she would call for Grandpa. My friends were fantastic, if I needed anything, all I had to do was let them know.
I have been a very blessed person as I will be an 18 year survivor in November. Life has been good and I am extremely grateful that I am CANCER free!”
