Mary Jo Platt

Mary Jo Platt has been in breast cancer remission for 12 years. Her breast cancer was discovered during a routine mammogram and follow up ultrasound. Her husband Charles recalls his feelings of helplessness and fear at learning of Mary Jo’s diagnosis. Mary Jo says, “Charles always made me feel cared for and supported during my treatment and recovery.” While her diagnosis of breast cancer was scary and hard to accept, she found sharing her journey with family and friends brought her comfort and eventually acceptance.
